Most of all, we appreciated the time our coordinator (Sara) took to get to know us and find out what we wanted our wedding to be like. We felt special and appreciated the interest all of the staff took in our event.

This is where dreams come true!! I just had my wedding there on April 2009 and I was amazed by how the staff treated me and my family. There was never a time I felt frustrated and all of our needs were met. But most of all I have to say thank you to the best person who made my wedding happen Lauren..she took care of everything and coordinated the day of. The food was out of this world, and the location was intimate. I will never forget my wedding day and it has to be because it happened at Verandas! BRAVO!

Verandas was the perfect place for us to get married. The venue is beautiful, from the waterfall and pond, to the dining room, to the gorgeous ocean views, it was eveything we wanted and needed in a venue. We loved working with Verandas' helpful and friendly staff, and were grateful that they made our wedding-planning experience so effortless. They provided us with a list of preferred vendors that really made it easy to book all of our vendors because we knew that we couldn't go wrong with anyone that Verandas recommended. The event was picture-perfect and went off without a hitch. We would definitely recommend Verandas to anyone wanting a wedding with a cool, comfortable elegance, while being classy AND beachy all at the same time!

My husband and I just recently had a wedding at La Venta Inn with about 160 guests. We did both our ceremony and reception here, and I must tell you, it was a complete success. Tim K. was our planner, and I would highly recommend him as he was organized and completely professional while personable and fun! He managed our vendors exceptionally, and everything went off without a hitch. I was fearful of the weather that day (rain in the forecast) but we ended up getting 65 and sunny with minimal wind--couldn't ask for anything more! Guests all commented positively on the food (we had lobster bisque...

When selecting a reception site, my husband and I were choosing between Verandas and an equally beautiful (and actually more unique) historical site. We initially chose Verandas because of budgeting reasons. While not the cheapest in the area, we knew what we had to pay (they charge based on minimums for day/time as opposed to # of people). As long as you met the minimum, you could spend it on 200 people or 50 people. This was very helpful as the majority of our guests were traveling from the east coast, and we weren't sure how many would come..... The food is delicious - we went with dessert (fabulous creme brulee!) so I can't comment on the quality of their cakes (my sister-in-law liked her birthday cake, though). Despite the beautiful location and amazing food, what makes Verandas a great reception site is the commitment and attention to detail. I didn't have to worry about taking care of ANYTHING that day. Sara handled everything and made sure that we simply had a great time. I would definitely recommend Verandas to anyone looking for a great reception site (we had ceremony at a church).

I love this place! It is small, but it is a way to have a beautiful wedding. I am second photographer/assistant and this place is great! You can get married while looking out over a cliff :) And their catering company is REALLY GOOD :) The FILET MIGNON on top of the PORTIBELLO MUSHROOM just MELTS in your mouth! You have to have more than 1, you would really want it!
